English: Former Barnstaple Town Station This station opened in its current location in 1898 and served both the London & South Western Railway (L&SWR) and the narrow gauge Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. The narrow gauge line closed in 1935 and the standard gauge (BR) line closed in 1970. The station is now a school. The L & SWR signal box was a small museum for a while but in 2007 was unoccupied. |
