[edit]
Description
English: Built in 1893, this Classical Revival-style house was designed by Edward B. Green and William S. Wicks for George and Georgia M. G. Forman, and was sold to the Cabana family in 1928 when Georgia, whom had become a widow in 1922, moved to a new house on Oakland Place. The house features a buff roman brick exterior with a hipped roof, cream roman brick doric columns and pilasters at the two-story front portico, topped with a pediment, terra cotta trim, a cornice with brackets and dentils, a cream brick architrave and trim, windows with pediment and doric pilaster surrounds, a front entry door with a decorative semi-circular transom, second-story palladian window with terra cotta trim above the front door, oxeye windows on the front pediment and at the two second-story bays flanking the palladian window, one-over-one double-hung windows, a two-story bay window on the south facade, and arched dormers. The house is a contributing structure in the Delaware Avenue Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
