| Description |
English: Forester Close Sheltered Housing, Tuckswood When the Tuckswood estate was built, it included two small developments of retirement one-bedroom flats, on Robin Hood Road. (See TG2306, Wilby Road, for the design). Unlike Wilby Road, the Tuckswood retirement flats were set back in horseshoes, each with a green in the centre. This allowed space to build a community hall in the centre and extra flats in front (the ones you can see here), in the 1970s. In keeping with the 'Robin Hood' theme of street names, this area was called Forester Close, and the other one, Longbow Close. |
