English: Forest ride above Harker Springs The vehicle track through the plantation on Brownberry ends at this point, a little short of where the 1:50000 map shows it reaching, though it continues as a rather narrow ride for some way. This bigger ride extends NE towards the edge of the forest above Harker Springs farm. The sedges are just starting back into growth after a harsh winter, but the shrubbier things like bilberry and heather are still dormant - the ground up here in the shade of the trees has been snow covered for the best part of three months and has only recently emerged. |
