NEWARK, July 23.—Dr. Carver had announced that he wouldto-day give an exhibition of flue shooting at Erbs ground and at-tempt to beat his record of 1,000 glass balls broken in 41m. 80s.,made by him at Trenton, N. J., July 19, and for which feat it issaid he was to receive $1,000 from the Spencer Arms Co., whosegun was employed. Owing to the rain the shoot to-day was post-poned to the middle of next week. TORONTO, July 18.—The Toronto Gun Club held a shoot at theWoodbine this afternoon, tho conditions being 15 artificial birdsto each man.
