English: Foreshore at Saltwick Bay At high water the wavecut platform is submerged. The cliffs on the left hand side are a type of Oil Shale which is very friable; these are capped with a layer of Sandstone. The Shale beds are rich in fossils. To the right is Saltwick Nab. |
