ffee-brown; mantle and scapulars dullhuffish ; reddish at base of feathers; least wing-covertswashed with buff; median and greater covens tippedwith bright buff; two central tail-feathers terminatingin long, thread-like shafts ; crown, back, and sides ofneck, the latter tending towards lower throat, brightvelvety buff ; a frontal band, lores, cheeks, and throatvelvety glossy green: forehead, chin, and a spot atbase of lower mandible blackish ; under-surface fromthroat backwards rich coffee-ibrown ; two large bunchesof graceful elongated plumes from the flanks, theirbasal half bright yellow and their terminal h.a.If white ;also a few stiff blood-red plumes; under wing-covertsand inner lining of quills coffeenbrown. like the body ;bill leaden-grey; feet black.
