| Description |
English: Ford on Bow Brook at Edward's Bridge This ford is on Edward's Lane to the east of Churchill and crosses Bow Brook. At the time of the picture the brook is calm and harmless though twice during the summer this year it has turned into a raging torrent, the debris on the hedge is evidence of the depth. The brook flooded both in June and July, and sadly during the June flood a driver was swept to his death when his car was washed away while trying to cross a ford downstream, near Drakes Braughton. |
