Description
English: Vintage 1928 Ford Model A for sale in Patagonia, possibly still running and probably a nice restoration project, these Fords dotted the countryside up to about 1965.

A bit of history: In late 1913, Ford Motor Co. decided to instal in Buenos Aires the first Latin American subsidiary and the second in the world. In 1917, after having sold more than 3500 vehicles, local assembly began with complete knock down kits imported from the US. That same year, the parent company approves a $240,000 investment to build an manufacturing plant in the neighborhood of La Boca and Ford Motor Company of Argentina was born.

In 1925 with the production of the famous Model "T", the first Ford plant in Latin America is inaugurated. At that time the products are marketed through a network of 285 dealers. The administrative staff and workers totaled 400. Shortly thereafter, due to growing demand, the plant must be expanded reaching its staff to 1,500 people. In 1927 at the La Boca plant the Ford "T" number 100,000 is manufactured. Later that year, Ford introduced the "A", successor to the Model "T".

Un poco de historia: A fines de 1913 Ford Motor Co. decide instalar en Buenos Aires la primera sucursal latinoamericana y la segunda en el mundo. En 1917 y luego de haber comercializado mas de 3500 vehículos comienza la importación de autos desarmados para ser montados en Buenos Aires. Ese mismo año se aprueba en la casa matriz una inversión de 240.000 dólares para la construcción de una planta de montaje en el barrio de La Boca.

En 1925 con la producción del famoso modelo "T" se inaugura la primer planta Ford de latinoamérica. Para ese entonces los productos se comercializan a través de una red de 285 concesionarios. El personal administrativo y plantel de operarios sumaban 400. Poco tiempo después, y debido a la creciente demanda, la planta debe ser ampliada llegando su personal a las 1500 personas. En 1927 se produce en La Boca el Ford "T" nº 100.000. A fines de ese año se presenta el Ford "A", sucesor del modelo "T".
