A nice, roomy hatchback, and stickering at $22,870, including the metallic paint, the special wheels, an automatic transmission, and MyFord Sync. It also gets 37 miles per gallon on the highway. The Focus SE can also be had with a Fuel Efficiency package that raises the fuel economy to 40 miles per gallon. The Focus is the case of Ford taking one of its excellent European models and translating it to basic American economy car duty without killing its character. Ford had tried such translations before, and failed miserably, in the form of the Escort, the Contour, and the original Focus after a few years. Seen at Los Angeles International Auto Show, 2011. |
