When Abraham was about four years old the Lincolnsmoved from the Rock Spring farm to a farm on KnobCreek, in the eastern part of what is now Larue County.Here a little boy, younger than Abraham, was buried. Of late years considerable interest has been given toLincolns birthplace. The Lincoln Farm Associationhas been organized and incorporated, and the farm pur-chased by a group of patriotic citizens who believe thatthe people of our country should, through affiliatingwith the organization, develop the farm into a nationalpark, embellished by an historical museum. Mrs. RussellSage has contributed $25,000 for this purpose, andothers are contributing. It is hoped that this mostworthy enterprise may be successful, and thus furtherhonor the immortal emancipator, and that the place willbe dedicated to peace and good will to all, where North,South, East, and West may find a common ground ofpride and fellowship. 1G

The location was one mile and ahalf east of where Gentryville now stands, and fifteenmiles north of the Ohio River.
