English: Footpath junction in Gorham and Admirals Community Wood Path from South Green Lane, leads to Hazel Street Road, near Wheatsheaf Farm.
Path heading left leads to Hazel Street Road, near Admirals House. This ancient woodland in the Kent Downs, has been bought by the Cromarty Trust, on behalf of the local community. It is managed by a group of local residents with help from the Kent Wildlife Trust. The woods are known for the variety of flora, which includes; wood anemones, bluebells, lady orchids, herb paris, lesser and greater butterfly orchids. Also has 400 types of fungi and various wildlife as well. |
