| Description |
English: Footpath at Denton Reservoir. This footpath circumnavigates the small reservoir which is a feeder for the Grantham Canal. It is popular with walkers, bird watchers and fishermen. (For more information see 1128242.) Note the comparative levels: the water to the right is much higher than the land to the left and this is the case round most of the reservoir. What you are walking on, on most of the footpath, is a substantial earth back which retains the water. See the OS maps at both the 1:50000 and 1:25000 scales for the contours and extent of the embankment. |
