English: Footpath CB8 crosses dismantled Newport to Yarmouth railway line The bridleway runs between Upper and Lower Watchingwell. The railway, dismantled in the early 1950s, has become a private farm track. I asked the local gamekeeper why it wasn't a cycle track and he said there were a lot of pheasant shoots in the vicinity which would be disrupted if there were additional public access. |
