| Description |
English: Footpath The field in this photograph is reclaimed, opencast workings. The public footpath, from 322136 (behind the viewpoint) to 343886 (ahead) crosses this field by the boundary hedge.
On the left of the picture the gateway in the hedge is positioned roughly half way along the hedge. At the far corner of the field a stile (it is just possible to make out the top of the marker) leads down into a narrow strip of woodland where a small stream flows in wet weather. Although, superficially well reclaimed land with realistic contours, the ground is poor. Drainage is very limited, the ground is hard and during wet weather, substantial amounts of water sit on the surface causing the top inch or so to be very muddy.
