English: Footpath The photograph shows a public footpath that is a diversion off the Five Pits Trail, through a small copse, that also carries a foot path on toward 343886 and Locko Lane Farm.
The copse in this photograph grows on reclaimed industrial (railway) land adjacent to opencast workings that have also been reclaimed. Although, superficially well reclaimed with realistic contours, the ground is poor. Drainage is very limited, the ground is hard and during wet weather, substantial amounts of water sit on the surface causing the top inch or so to be very muddy. At times this path is not for the fainthearted! To see a more northerly (ahead) view of this footpath, click here 339905.
