English: Foot Warmer, ca. 1700
Description
English: Rectangular, with indented quadrant corners. Hinged cover with three circular pierced designs. Elaborately shaped hinge riveted on back; shaped plate with engraved scrolls and armorial bearings riveted to front face. Four cast feet in shell form, one at each corner. At either end, repoussé plate in form of mascaron, to which handle is attached.
