Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The New York version of the American drama film Foolish Wives (1922) was edited and cut while en route from California on a train in a baggage car. The firm that did the cutting, A.D. Ripley & Company, was to receive $40,000 if the task of editing and cutting was completed by noon on December 4, which it was. Had the film not been completed, the firm would have received $18,000 less. Airplanes tracked the progress of the train for news items in cities along the way for publicity for the film. On page 38 of the December 17, 1921 Exhibitors Herald and associated article.
