| Description |
This is Food Lion #199, located at 111 Seminole Dr in Madison Heights, VA. What I find interesting about this Food Lion is its vintage appeal. Judging by the layout and the recessed ceiling in the produce section, this store probably had Food Lion's "Futuristic" package of the late 1980s. (look up Food Lion Shelbyville, TN if you're curious as to what that looks like) The reason the current Millennium "sun" decor of the early 2000s probably still sticks around is because there is a more modern Food Lion a few miles up the road in the Amelon Square shopping center that attracts more business. Nevertheless, this Food Lion feels quaint and cozy, and I'd probably shop here over a newer unit anyday! |
