| Description |
This is Food Lion #2231, located at 253 N. Washington Highway in Ashland, VA. This location opened on August 16, 2017, after relocating from their former location at 135 Junction Drive. From what I can tell, this location has kept much of the former Martin's decor while also being the only Food Lion I know of that carries Ukrop's prepared foods. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, this Food Lion has a "one-location arragement" with Ukrop's. I enjoyed visiting this Food Lion and this is, without doubt, probably one of the most unique Food Lions in the entire chain. Time will only tell what will become of this store, but I am certainly excited to see if Food Lion continues to carry Ukrop's & what this Food Lion may look like once remodeled. |
