Description
The sculptures of the fountain were created by Stephan Ammann in 1596, the iron necks of the fountain were made by Conrad Kleli. Today the fountain stands in front of the old Bürgerspital. Its original location was until the end of the 19th century on the Place Python, where today stands the kiosk. The choice of St. Peter as the fountain figure is related to a former chapel of St. Peter that was located nearby.
