[edit]DescriptionFolk Costume from the city of Dimitrovgrad.jpg |
English: This foto represents the Serbian folklore Club SKC (Srpski Kulturni Centar) from Offenbach am Main in Germany taking part in the 27th German championship for Serbian folklore in Berlin. This group foto shows us an exklusive insight to the over 100 year old overalls the current generation is wearing. The overalls come from a certain city far in the south of Serbia near the border of Bulgaria - Dimitrovgrad. Dimitrovgrad has a remarkable and rich history as it was not always Serbian. The city was passed on to many countries but only two were able to leave an massive impact on it. Those countries were Serbia and Bulgaria. This "nošnja" as the Serbians call it is the folk costume which carries the intertwined culture between Bulgarians and Serbians.
