Summary
[edit]DescriptionFogland Point jumble 4.jpg |
English: On the western edge of Fogland Point, a 35 acre (14 ha) piece of land which projects out into the Sakonnet River in Tiverton, Rhode Island, there is a jumble of large blocks of rock which have cracked apart from the bedrock. The rocks are largely glacial conglomerates, although some are underlain by sedimentary rock. A geological report says that the depth of the glacial conglomerate probably reaches 120 feet (36.6 meters) in places. |
