Description
English: AWM caption : North West Africa: Tunisia, Kairouan. Portrait of 404324 Flying Officer (FO) (later Flight Lieutenant, DFC), Henry John 'Donk' Bray of 451 Squadron, RAAF, of Moololah, Qld, standing beside a Curtis P40 aircraft. The nose art depicts an Australian kangaroo kicking a German Dachshund. FO Bray enlisted at Brisbane on 19 August 1940 and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on 23 November 1944. He was killed in an air battle on 14 March 1945 and is buried at the Cambridge Regional Cemetery, England.
Comment : This probably shows him with No. 3 Squadron RAAF. He later served with No. 451 Squadron RAAF.
