Description
English: Watts, Elizabeth. Flowers and the Flower Garden. With Illustrations on the Culture of Ornamental Trees, Shrubs, &c., &c. London: Frederick Warne and Co., Bedford, Street, Strand. [1866] London: Dalziel Brothers, Camden Press. Book dimensions: 110x166x15mm. iv, 188p.

British Library shelfmark: C188a562. Yellow paper over boards. Both endpapers and pastedowns have lists of publisher's titles. The small square bookplate of Robin de Beaumont on on the verso of the front endpaper, togerther with his notes. The lower cover has publisher's titles. The upper cover is printed in green red, and black. It features a yound lady in a garden, using a can to water her plants/ flowers. Signed, bottmon left, with the monogram: "TW" [possibly Thomas Walters]. The spine has the title along its length, with the price: "1/-" [one shilling] printed a the base. It is likely that another copy of this work is at BL shelfmark 7030.aa.41. References: The Library of the late Robin de Beaumont. Bonhams Auction Catalogue [online sale of 31 January 2024.], lot 189.
