Amaryllis. These and the Crinum are becoming more and more popular owing to their ease of culture and freedom of bloom. Tne Amaryllis likes best a mixture of a little sand with \oa,m; avoid stable manure. Give warmth, light and water freely. But do not pour the water directly on the bulb, better set the pot in water and let it soak up from the bottom. After blooming and leaves turn yellow set away in the pot to dry and rest until again wanted to bloom. rORMOSISSI3IA.—This odd shaped flower is of a handsome deep velvety- red color that in the sunshine shows a A more beautiful color cannot be imagined. This is the easiest to grow and quickest to bloom of all Amaryllis. Said to bloom well in water like Hyacinths. 15 cts. each, 4 for 50 cts. EQUESTRE—A beautiful combination of orange, red and green, a most charming flower. 15 cts. each, 4 for 50 cts. JOHNSONII—The most popular, because best known. Intense crimson with white stripe. 25 to 40 cents each for large and extra large bulbs. Crinum, Great interest is now taken in these mag- nificent bulbs, as peo- ple learn their great beauty and how easily managed. Treat same as Amaryllis. KIRKII-The most familiar and greatest favorite. Bears quan- tities of large flowers, shaped like a lily, purest white, flushed with pink and a deep pink stripe in center of each petal. This is also called Crinum Ornatum, but no mat- ter what the name, it is one of the lovliest and sweetest of all flowers. 25c. to 50c. each for finest bulbs.
