DescriptionFlowcyl.jpg	English: Air flow past a cylinder as a function of increasing flow speed. Case 1: Neglecting viscosity and very low speed. Case 2: Actual case for low speed. Case 3: At increasing speed, the flow becomes unstable and oscilates. Case 4: For even larger speed the flow breaks and loses the oscilations. Case 5: At very high speed the flow becomes chaotic turbulent.
