HOLLYHOCKS. Lily of the Valley. Too well known to need any spe- cial description. Everyone knows their value for outdoor blooming, but all do not realize that their sprays of fairy bells can be ob- tained in Winter just as easily. We offer strong, imported pips, that have been grown especially fcr Winter blooming. Plant half a dozen pips in a four-inch pot, keep rather cool until well started, then bring to the light and warmth, and keep freely supplied with waler. You will be surprised at the ra- pidity of their growth and at the size of their lovely fragrant bells. If you wish them for Easter start them in February. We can supply the bulbs. all Winter. Price, 5 cents each; 50 cents per dozen. Dwarf Excelsior Pearl Tuberoses. The Finest in Existence, All Blooming Bulbs The Tuberose is noted for its delicate beau'y and exquisite fragrance, rivaling orange blos- soms in sweetness. The flowers are pure white, very double and wax-like, and are bcrne on stems two or three feet high. Tube- roses will not bear much cold. Do not plant in the Spring till the ground is warm. They may be started in the house in a warm place, but care should be taken that they get no check in setting cut. Plant three or four inches deep in rich ground. DWARF EXCEL 5IPR P^ARL. A splendid new variety, the finest ever in- troduced; greatly superior to the common Pearl; grows about eighteen inches high, blooms very early, matures perfectly; flow- ers pure white, large size, very double and intensely sweet. We send splendid, large, well-ripened bulbs, the finest ever grown, all sure to bloom. Price, fine, extra-large, well- ripened bulbs, all sure to bloom, 6 cents each: five for 25 cents; twelve for 50 cents; twen- ty-five for $1.00. FINE MIXED GLADIOLI. Our mixed Gladioli embrace a magnificent variety of beautiful . colors,- all the poorer sorts having been discarded when in flower. We trust that many of our friends will avail themselves of these very low prices to plant largely; the spikes of bloom, richness and brilliancy of color are out of all proportion to the trifling cost: Price, extra fine mixed, of all eolers, three for 10 cents; 30 cents per dozen, or $2.00 per hundred, postpaid; by express, $1.75 per hundred. HYACINTHUS CANDICANS. This is unlike our Spring blooming Hyacinths. Its leaves are deep green, fleshy, resembling some of the Yuccas. The flowers are white, in handsome, pendulous bells arranged on pyramidal spikes, often reaching the height of five feet or more in strong plants. A strong bulb will give from two to three flowers spikes and these produce from thirty to fifty flowers. The plants come into blcom in July and bloom constantly until October. Price, 10 cents each; three for 25 cents. Few hardy plants combine as many good qualities or lend themselves as readily to varied uses as the Holly- hock. For planting in rows or groups on the lawn or interspersed among shrubbery they are invaluable. The flowers, which are as elegant in shape as a Camelia, form perfect rosettes of the most lovely shades of crimson, yellow, pink, orange, white, etc. They require a deep, rich soil, and will repay in quantity and beauty of bloom any extra care. We offer a fine assortment in separate colors. Price, 10 cents each; three different kinds for 25 cents. HARDY DOUBLE ENGLISH VIOLET. This Violet is entirely hardy, perfectly double, a deep violet-purple color and most delicicusly fragrant. It sur- passes the well-known "iiarie Louise" Violet in richness of color, being many shades darker, and far excels it in its delightful odor; this is one of its greatest merits. Will grow* and bloom in any garden and in any situation. Noth- ing is more appropriate fcr cemeters' plots than the hardy Double English Violet. 15 cents each; two for 25 cents. DIELYTRA SPECTABILIS—BLEEDING HEART, These pretty Spring bloomers, with their graceful, drooping sprays of heart-shaped pink and white flowers, are very ornamental and bloom freely early in the sea- son. The plants being hardy, increase in size and bloom from year to year, and should have a place in every garden. Price, 20 cents each.
