CLIMBING BRIDESMAID. New Ever-Blooming Rose, Climbing Perle Dcs Jardins. Few Roses have as firm a hold in popular favor and are so highly prized by the professional and amateur rose grow- ers alike as the Perle des Jardins. It is not only admirably adapted for forcing, but thrives well in the open air, bloom- ing freely in either case. Its large, full, well-formed, gold- en-yellow flowers, borne on stiff stems, make this variety especially desirable for bouquets and artistic floral decora- tions, while the dark and glaucous foliage of the plant fur- nishes an excellent setting for the fragrant, delicate-hued blossoms. Climbing Perle is even more vigorous and floriferous than the bush form. It is hardy in the South. Price, 15 cents each; two-year-old plants, 30 cents each. A Rose Among Roses, CLIMBING BRIDESMAID If there is one Rose more beautiful than an- other, that Rose is Bridesmaid. It is the standard pink cut-flower Rose of America. It has many rivals, but as yet it holds its own as one of the grandest Roses in commerce. It represents the highest degree of beauty yet at- tained in Roses of its class. It is distinct in form, distinct in growth and equally distinct in color. When we first offered this new variety as a sport from Brides- maid, its popularity was assured. We want our customers to try this Rose, more especially those whose Winters are not too severe. It is quite hardy, but where the Winters are very cold and long it should be carefully protected in open ground. It grows rapidly and strongly, and blooms as freely as does its parent, Brides- maid, which is prac- tically all the time. The flowers are simply beau- tiful (identical with Bridesmaid), clear dark pink; in bud they are superb, beyond anything ve have ever seen. This is one of the most valu- able additions to the Climbing Tea Roses made in recent years. Price, 20c; large two- year-old plants, 35c. New Climbing Rose, MRS. ROBT. PEARY. Or Climbing Kaiserin Augusta Victoria. This is by all odds the most remarkable new Rose of recent introduction. It is an offspring of that grand va- riety, Kaiserin Augusta Victoria. The flowers are extra large, full, deep and double. They are of excellent sub- stance, and produced on long, stiff stems, like a forcing Rose. The buds are long and pointed, a remarkable feature not found in any other climbing Rose. The color and shape of the bud and flower are identical with Kaiserin Augusta Victoria. Pure ivory-white. The foli- age is also identical. The fragrance is delicious. The most remarkable feature of this variety, however, is that it blooms continuously the first year. It grows to perfection outdoors, throwing up numerous shoots ten to fifteen feet high in a single season. Price, 20 cents; large two-year plants, 35 cents. A Glorious New Rose, Climbing Marie Guillot. If you have never seen Marie Guillot growing at its best in the open ground, you cannot conceive of the beauty of its large, bold, handsome white flowers. It has been termed the Queen of White Roses, and while there are many white varieties of unquestionable ex- cellence, there are none more reliable for out-door cul- tivation than Marie Guillot. It is one of the most rapid- growing and vigorous Climbing Roses we have ever- seen, small plants making a growth of 10 to 20 feet in five months. It blooms continuously throughout the season, the first and every year. The flowers are mag- nificently made, extra large, deep and double. The buds are particularly beautiful and the fragrance delightful. Price, 20 cents; large two-year plants, 35 cents. THEveE^T0YMR'iE rose Climbing Meteor. All who know "General Jack" will call to mind its beau- tiful, high colored, rich, velvety-red buds and flowers. Climbing Meteor is the acme of all red Climbing Roses. It is a free, persistent blcomer and will make a growth of from ten to fifteen feet in a season; in bloom all the time, as it is a true ever-bloomer. We do not hesitate to place it at the head of the list of Roses for summer blooming, as it will make a strong growth and is literally loaded with its deep, rich red flowers all the time. Its flowers are much larger than Meteor and are richer in color. It is just the Rose to train up the veranda or around windows, where its great beauty will show up to good advantage. Don't fail to plant one or more of Climbing Meteor. Price, 15 cents each; two-year-old plants, 30 cents each.
