The root confifts of long tumid fibres, crowndat the top with the dry brilliy remains of de-cayd leaves. The llalk is about a cubit high, of the fize of acrow quill, eredt, and towards the top fparinglybranchd, furniflid with only two or three dif-tant leaves. The radical leaves are fix inches long, linear,and undivided, apparently furrounded withnumerous whirls of capillary foliola, about aquarter of an inch in length.
