English: Flora MacDonald memorial window The west window of St Columba's church was designed by E.I. Ingram in 1896 and restored by the Shetland artist Patrick Ross-Smith in 2002. It depicts the story of the Biblical heroine Esther who saved her people, as a parallel to Flora MacDonald's loyalty in ensuring the escape of Prince Charles Edward after the defeat of Culloden. |
