Description
Deutsch: Die Geschwister Flora (1894–1983), Selmar (1893–1962) und Thea Spier (1898–1990) in Tracht. Sie waren die Kinder des Simon Spier (1858–1929) und dessen Ehefrau Bertha, geb. Kaufmann (1868–1946). Ihr Vater war seit etwa 1880 in Frankfurt am Main mit zwei seiner Brüder Mitbesitzer eines Schuhhandels für feine Damenlederschuhe in der Alte Gasse/Ecke Schäfergasse, der nach 1908 in der Fahrgasse 144 zu einem Schuhgroßhandel expandierte. In der Schillerstraße 1 betrieben Louis und Simon Spier die Chasalla-Schuhgesellschaft m.b.H. – Simons Tochter Flora heiratete Max Stettiner (1887–1963), Thea heiratete den Unternehmer, Kunstsammler und Bibliophilen Ludwig Bamberger. Selmar Spier promovierte zum Dr. iur. und ließ sich 1924 als Rechtsanwalt und Notar in der Eschenheimer Anlage 2 nieder, über der Wohnung seines Vaters.
