English: Floods at Wainlode Hill. Looking north down Wainlode Hill with The Red Lion on the right. The River Severn normally curves left at the lefthand side of the picture whilst the lane continues on to Haw Bridge. Happily for the locals, the pub was built high enough above the floodwaters to avoid being inconvenienced by such inundations. |
