English: The first burst of water during floods in the canyon of Og stream. Og stream is situated in the Judean Desert, Israel, descending to the north of the Dead Sea.
עברית: הגל הראשון של המים בזמן שטפון בנחל אוג שבמדבר יהודה. נחל אוג הוא הצפוני שבנחלים הנשפכים ממדבר יהודה לים המלח, ונמצא בין ואדי קלט בצפון לנחל קדמן בדרום. הנחל מנקז את מדרונות הר הזיתים, הר הצופים ואבו דיס שבירושלים ברום של 800 מטר מעל פני הים, ויורד אל ים המלח שגובהו 400 מטרים מתחת לפני הים. תלילותו של הנחל מביאה לכך שבעונת החורף השטפונות בנחל חזקים במיוחד, והוא לעתים סוחף עמו את כביש 90. בקצה הנחל הוקם מאגר מים שאוצר את מי השטפונות ומשמש את קיבוץ אלמוג. |
