| Description |
English: Flooded marshes on Minsmere Level Up until the mid-1990s, these were grazing marshes. Now that they are in the hands of the RSPB, the interests of wildlife, especially birds, are predominant - hence, presumably, the tolerance, perhaps encouragement, of the flooding we can see here. However, in the mid-distance a windpump can be seen, draining the area known previously as Retsam. The dome of Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station is visible in the furthest distance and, nearer the camera, the edge of the forestry on the Goose Hills. |
