| Description |
English: Flooded area behind a spit This area of water lies "behind" the sand and shingle spit of Whiteness Head and drains slowly into the marshy lagoon area further west. It marks the beginning of the spit which continues to grow westward. This area is often dry but floods in winter and after prolonged heavy rain. |
