English: Flood plain, Oare Creek. From the churchyard of St Peter's 399593. In the early 20th century and earlier Oare Creek was a busy commercial waterway bringing in London rubbish for use in the brickmaking industry and raw materials for gunpowder and taking out bricks and gunpowder. These days it is used solely for pleasure and leisure. |
