Description
English: art001e002198 (Dec. 7, 2022) The Moon continues to appear smaller from Orion’s perspective as seen in this image from the spacecraft’s optical navigation camera on flight day 22 of NASA’s Artemis I mission. Orion uses the optical navigation camera to capture imagery of the Earth and the Moon at different phases and distances, providing an enhanced body of data to certify its effectiveness under different lighting conditions as a way to help orient the spacecraft on future missions with crew.
