Kaitata, NZ 28 Oct 2005

We headed into Kaitaia for some large cappucinos and carrot cake at the Gecko Cafe. While we waited, I amused myself reading Model engineering magazine, which had an article on Fibonacci numbers and Paduan sequences. Also Reanaux??

Also, stopped and bought Nature Guide to NZ Forest, a well-illustrated field guide, but a little pricey at NZ$ 44.95. In genral, NZ is similar to Australia, books are fairly expensive in both countries. [It utrned out that our Northwest Horticulture Society tour selected this same book as the best all-around guide to NZ flora and trees. So, we ended up with another copy, which we gave away to some friends that visited NZ in 2006.]
