Description

Kinechen Eason, an electrical technician with Computer Science Corps, installs the Boomerang acoustic shooter-detection system control panel in a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle at Contingency Operating Base Basra, Nov. 27, 2009. The system uses a cluster of microphones to analyze incoming gunfire and alerts Soldiers audibly and visually to the shooter's distance and direction. Photo by: Spc. Samuel Soza.
