Description U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Gerald Eagan, with the 6th Engineer Battalion, throws his rucksack in front of him while pulling security on a remote mountain landing zone during a heliborne insertion mission while participating in the Order of the Arctic Sapper competition Aug. 17, 2011, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. Six teams of eight to 11 Soldiers competed in mountain climbing, rappelling, river crossing and other combat engineer events to be inducted into the Order of the Arctic Sapper.
