Description Secretary of the Army John McHugh, presents a plaque to Phil Miller, father of Medal of Honor recipient US Army Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller and mother Maureen Miller, as Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. George W. Casey, Jr. looks on during a ceremony at the Pentagon, Oct. 7, 2010. Miller was posthumously awarded the nation's highest honor for his heroic actions in Afghanistan on January 25, 2008, after displaying immeasurable courage and uncommon valor eventually sacrificing his own life to save the lives of his teammates and 15 Afghanistan National Army soldiers.
