PATTAYA, Thailand (July 28, 2012) Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) team up with Royal Thai navy Sailors to move a water barrel during a community service project at the Child Protection and Development Center in Pattaya, Thailand. Sailors volunteered at the center with their Thai counterparts as part of a theater security cooperation and friendship mission to the region. Emory S. Land, homeported in in Diego Garcia, is on an extended deployment to Guam, conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 7th fleet area of operations.
