Description

March 16, 2011.

Today soldiers serving in the Halamish base in the Judea and Samaria region were surprised by a pregnant Palestinian woman who was in an advanced stage of labor, and who was in search of an IDF paramedic. The woman knew that there would be a 24-hour medical team which she could turn to for any medical crisis. Such a team was indeed called to the spot and immediately began assisting the birth. The baby was born with its umbilical cord wrapped around its neck but due to the IDF team's expertise, the newborn's life was saved and the baby was eventually delivered in good health.
