Description

November 15, 2010.

During an exercise for the new Israeli Air Force combat training squadron, Commander of the Air Force Maj. Gen. Ido Nachushtan said this morning that the IAF is expected to expand its training exercises and increase the number of its flight hours in 2011 due to various security challenges.

The Commander addressed the F-16I (Sufa) crash that occurred last week: "After weighing and examining what is known to us about the accident, the Sufa aircraft will return to flying. I embrace the Itkis and Levy families, two excellent soldiers of the IAF and IDF, among the best we had."

במהלך אימון בטייסת מאמני הקרב החדשה של חיל האוויר אמר הבוקר מפקד חיל האוויר, אלוף עידו נחושתן, כי חיל האוויר צפוי להרחיב את אימוניו ולהגדיל את כמות שעות הטיסה בשנת 2011, וזאת לאור האתגרים הביטחוניים בזירות השונות.

עוד התייחס מפקד חיל האוויר לתאונת מטוס הסופה שאירעה בשבוע שעבר ואמר: "לאחר ששקלנו אמש ובחנו את הידוע לנו על התאונה חוזר היום מערך הסופה לטוס. אני מחבק את המשפחות איטקיס ולוי, שני לוחמים מובחרים של חיל האוויר וצה"ל, מהטובים שהיו לנו.
