[edit]DescriptionFlickr - Israel Defense Forces - Combat Engineering Corps' Soldiers Clear Mines in the Jordan Valley Region (1).jpg |
February 15, 2012 Since signing the Treaty of Peace with Jordan (1994), the IDF's Combat Engineering corps has worked rigorously in order to clear the hundreds of mine fields planted in the Jordan Valley for reasons of safety and agriculture. Today, more than 12,000 mines have been cleared, with more than 1,500 of them cleared over the last week. Pictured above are the soldiers of the Combat Engineering's Sapper Course, hitting the field and eliminating all danger.
