Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Close-up of the print head in a flexographic roll-to-roll printer at the Washington Clean Energy Testbeds at the University of Washington in Seattle. Ink is transferred from the reservoir (black tray at bottom) via the fountain roller (brown roll at bottom) to an anilox roll (middle dark-grey roll with 4 bands), which then transfers controlled amounts of ink to the plate cylinder (top light-grey roll). Normally a flexographic plate would be mounted to the plate cylinder, but that is not depicted here.
