Description
English: A window envelope of the German firm Flersheim-Hess of Frankfurt, German Reich, stamped on May 4th, 1928. The blue Goethe stamp of a denomination of 25 Pfennige for foreign postage shows the firm's perfin (perforated intitials), but mirror-inverted. An additional oval stamp promotes Frankfurt as place of the eldest German trade fair.
Deutsch: Ein Fensterbriefumschlag der deutschen Firma Flersheim-Hess aus Frankfurt am Main, Deutsches Reich. Die blaue Goethe-Briefmarke im Wert von 25 Pfennigen für Auslandporto mit seitenverkehrter Firmenlochung (Perfin = perforierte Initiale) wurde am 4. Mai 1928 durch das Postamt Frankfurt am Main 2 postalisch gestempelt. Ein zusätzlicher ovaler Stempel wirbt für Frankfurt als Ort der ältesten deutschen Messe.
