Description
English: This is the Flem Galloway House. Built in the Rosman NC area in 1878. The musical group "Carolina Blue" has a recording "The Ballad of Flem Galloway" Flem Galloway was a confederate soldier wounded and placed in the Union Hospital for prisoners. It is said that President Lincoln visited Mr Galloway at his bedside and ask "Johnny Reb, how long will you fight?" His answer "Till the mountains fall down Mr Lincoln, or commanded so by General Lee."
