English: Fleabane near Oatclose Plantation Growing near the hedgerow bordering the wood. So called because it was thought that the smoke of burning the plant would banish fleas and insects. It was also used to cure dysentery hence its name Pulicaria dysentrica. (Pulex is Latin for Flea). |
